Where to Hire A Generator From?

If you need to hire a portable generator where should you go?

Most users seeking portable power generation equipment will be requiring a piece of equipment that is easy to transport yet is capable of providing the right amount of electricity to power their equipment.

This could be to power a heater, lighting, cooking equipment, power tools, pa equipment, or emergency equipment such as water pumps, dehumidifiers, and cutting equipment.

Generators come in a wide range of sizes and specifications as well as having different features. There are countless makes and models to choose from but typically when renting a unit you will find its best to seek the advice and guidance from a recognised tool hire shop.

Most tool hire outlets will have at least one knowledgeable member of staff on hand to suggest the right portable generator to suit your individual needs and power requirements.

Petrol, diesel, 110v or 240v outlets, amount of power delivery, these are all requirements they will take into account.

The length of running time is also another consideration to think of. If you are an engineer working on site you will need a machine that is capable of getting the job done on your timescale and work deadlines.

Power output; this is a big factor when hiring a generator. A small hand held power tool such as an electric drill uses very little current and amperage compared to a high powered item of equipment like a metal or stone cutting disc cutter.

The greater the power requirement the larger the output of the generator needs to be. The same applies if multitude pieces of equipment need to be powered at the same time. Several lights or pumps will need more energy supply than a single unit.

Portable Heaters

For emergency heating in an office at work or for use at home should your central heating boiler breakdown, a portable heater could be the answer to providing temporary heating.

There are several different types of portable heaters you could consider with perhaps a mobile calor gas type cabinet heater at the top of the list.

One of these pieces of equipment are economical to use running off affordable butane bottled cylinder gas.

As the gas is compressed (at a low pressure) it allows the heater to run for a considerable time before a new refill is needed.

Portable cabinet heaters use butane gas as opposed to propane. This is because the unit is more likely to be sited indoors for domestic extra heating as opposed for industrial applications such as for providing heat in a warehouse or factory type environment.

There are numerous different brands of portable gas cabinet heaters on the market to buy with popular ones being produced by Calor, Continental, Elite, Bullfinch, Delonghi, and Superser.

There are also a multitude of other non branded ones that are usually sold at a lower price point due to them being manufactured in the far eastern countries such as taiwan and china.

All mobile cabinet heaters have several heat settings to allow you achieve the required temperature for the area you need heating. This is usually by way of a selector knob, selector button, or switch type arrangement.

The cylinder of gas is fitted to the unit by way of a clip on gas regulator valve. This is attached to a pipe on the heater itself and regulates the gas flow to the burner unit inside the heater.

For easy movement and positioning all portable cabinet heaters have some form of castors or wheels fitted. All also have a retaining bracket on the rear to secure the bottle of butane gas inside.
